After some last minute business, I ended up going to the Trans Siberian Orchestra tonight...er, yesterday.
Anyway.
It was so utterly, fantastically ridiculous and over the top. The lighting was completely astounding, between the LED screens, backlighting, spotlighting, making people glow (somehow?), lasers and multicolored fire. There was also some snow and a hovercraft.
We walked in (A bit late, thanks to midterm) to an insane violinist on a scissor lift playing like a classic rocker, complete with headbanging and showy playing. It was insanity.
This violinist could also play while running, and there was a girl singing opera while she did a lap of the floor. WTF!
Then ther ewere the obligatory guitar solos, of which there were many. Many many many. And some keyboard solos and some violin solos and a flute solo.
There were also some chicks in tiny black dresses dancing a lot of the time, doing their best to make it look like they were having a total orgasm on stage.

I came out of the ordeal in less than great shape. I'm surprised I haven't lost my voice, honestly. My throat hurts so bad. I'm sore and tired and hungry and it's going to be hell to get up tomorrow ugh.

All in all though, it was ABUSRDLY DELICIOUS and anyone who ever has a chance to go should do so without hesitation. It was SOMUCHFUN.
